| KHMLL T-Ball Division Rules (5-6 year olds) Managers / Coaches / Team Parent Responsibilities Dress Code: Dress appropriately for games (Baseball attire is OK) Dugouts / Fields: No food, gum, seeds, or candy allowed. Water bottles are o.k. Clean dugouts after your game 1 adult representative from each team will assist in preparing the field prior to the start of your game Zero Tolerance Policy: (a) No foul language (b) Good Sportsmanship Conduct (c) Parent (If any of these conditions are witnessed, confirmed and turned in on a KHMLL Complaint form by the Home Plate Umpire and 0pposing manager or acting manager/coach you will lose your right to manage or coach your team for the remainder of the season Team Sponsorship: a team sponsorship of $250.00 is required League Fundraiser: 100% team and parent participation is required Division In House rules: 1. Up to four adults in T-ball Division allowed in Dugouts 2. Offense/Batting: Two adults allowed in coaching boxes on field. Defense/Fielding: 1 adult allowed between infielders and outfielders on each side of the field (ie. 1 between 1st and second baseline, 1 between 2nd and 3rd baseline 3. Ten (10) batter rule, all players up to 14 in the batting line up 4. Five (5) run rule, per inning 5. Three (3) strikes rule. Note A foul ball is a ball hit on either side of the foul lines or does not pass the home plate circle 6. Ball must travel at least to the grass area in front of home plate to be in play 7. Rotate the bench player every inning (on defense) 8. Defensive outfielders cannot be positioned in the infield grass 9. Pitchers defensive position is from the pitchers rubber (38 feet) 10. Batting Stance: Coaches can assist on setting up the batter, but must step away at least 15 feet during the players swing 11. Time Limit: 1 hour 15 minutes drop dead time!! Know your start time. In the event of a player shortage, opposing team can loan up to three (3) players to start game. After ½ inning of play, the borrowing team must be able to field (10) players or forfeit the game with a 1-0 score. Continue the game for the KID’S BENEFIT. General rules 1. No arguing judgement calls. Anything within the rule book, you mall call time out and ask. (Do not delay game more than a minute or two) 2. Team lineups need to be turned in as soon as possible to opposing team and announcer. 3. All players must sit down on the bench provided in dugouts 4. Players are encouraged to cheer for their team (not against the opposing team.) No unsportsmanlike conduct. 5. Please remember that T-ball is instructional and established only to allow players to acquire skills in throwing, catching, hitting, and running. Let’s make T-ball a positive experience for all Players, Parents, Coaches and Volunteers involved. 6. Have your team arrive early for their game start time! |
